C, C++ Programmer
Edge Access is seeking a qualified C/C++, application, and driver developer to work in a Linux environment.

DESCRIPTION:
• Development of application and drivers in a Linux environment.
• Participates in requirements gathering, analysis, and design of new projects as well as enhancements to existing applications.
• Provides documentation of project functionality.
• Post implementation support of existing applications.
• Writes and/or reviews system specifications.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
• Strong understanding of application and driver development in a Linux environment
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 2 years experience in related field

• VoIP protocol experience (SIP)

Operations Services Technician / Jr. Field Technician
We are looking for unique self-starters who enjoys working independently and within a team environment. Strong time management and organizational skills are required with above average customer service dedication – capable of working with a variety of customers and who can derive satisfaction from continuing to challenge and grow their current skill set.

Successful candidate for our Operations Services Technician will cross-train and rotate between the Quality Assurance, Customer Service, and Field Services Departments (travel required). Edge Access product certification training is provided.

DESCRIPTION:
The essential functions of an Operations Services Technician include but are not limited to:
• Service work includes trouble shooting, conveying problem and estimated time to resolve to client, performing needed corrective action.
• May repair, replace IT equipment on-site, or pickup systems to repair at service facility, as necessary.
• Required to provide remote support/phone support on an "as needed" basis for, including but not limited to server, web, email and VoIP support.
• Supports Quality Assurance in the development and implementation of test plans and scripts.
• Performs software validation, stability, functionality, and performance testing. Complete test result reports for review and modifications.
• Travels between base camp and multiple site locations to conduct and document site survey details as well as perform equipment installation for contract facilities.
• Performs complete installation of equipment, which may include receiving and unloading equipment. Upon completion of the installation, inspects equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Trains the customer on the operation and administration of equipment.
• Develop relationship with well established customer base. Responsible for developing and maintaining good rapport with customers, constantly striving to obtain the customer's complete satisfaction.
• Completes input of work orders and expenses, daily and weekly time records, inventory, etc.
• Ability to track inventory of parts on service vehicle and in warehouse.
• Responsible for knowing and complying with all service policies and procedures. Ability to track billable time and report according to company procedure guidelines
• Keeps respective Managers informed of all significant problems, progress or difficulties. Work with other team members to resolve issues and have the ability to request assistance, or provide assistance, as skill base requires.
• Responsible for following all policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:
• Comfortable using Linux commands (proficient preferred)
• Networking/IT experience
• VoIP / Telecom experience a plus
• Proficient using Windows environment
• 2+ years customer service/help desk experience
• Willing to travel up to 75% of your time
• Good driver’s record


Customer Support with UNIX/LINUX Administration
The Network Engineer is responsible for deployment, maintenance and monitoring of hardware and software components to support the EdgeAccess VOIP platform. The individual will be working to implement and support multi-platform, multi-site, 24 x 7 environments that support telephony, database, web, and application services.
• Provide network systems administration, monitoring and optimization for production servers
• Provide monitoring, support and optimization of network components
• Support, develop and enforce security controls and policies

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 to 7 years practical experience in support and administration of complex network systems technologies in a data center environment.

EDUCATION: AS/BS (CIS, CS or EE) or equivalent

REQUIREMENTS:
• Demonstrated experience and a total understanding of networking concepts, including routing, DNS, network file systems.
• Hands on working knowledge of physical, system, network and data security procedures and tools, including SSL, SSH, BGP, VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection
• Experience with telephony concepts, circuits, switching and interface hardware
• A demonstrated understanding of VoIP.
• Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment and have strong interpersonal and communication skills, train users in complex topics, make presentations to an internal and external audience, and be an independent problem solver
• Demonstrated experience installing, troubleshooting and managing Solaris, Linux and Windows 2K and XP servers
• Hands on configuration of Routers, Hubs, Wireless Points, Firewalls, Servers, Proxy, Apache, Linux, Slackware.
• Comfortable deploying network gear in racks, hands on working knowledge of structured wiring and the best practice.
• Working knowledge of Network Monitoring tools: MRTG, HP OpenView and other share ware products.



Product Manager
Edge Access is seeking a qualified, experienced VoIP/telecom product manager.

DESCRIPTION:
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Assist in maintaining inventory.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Manage product schedules using project software for product timelines and resource time.
• Provide updates and produce reports.
• Monitor all aspects of product lifecycle.
• Evaluate product issues.
• Works with other departments to streamline schedules and deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:
• BS / CS
• 3+ years experience with project software
• 5+ years experience related VoIP/telecom field
• Detail oriented


VOIP Network Engineer with UNIX/LINUX Administration

DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a motivated and talented technical expert who has a high degree of experience and proficiency in UNIX and LINUX system administration. Experience in VOIP protocols and technologies are also highly desirable. In addition to performing operational duties, this individual will also support the Network Engineering lab and corporate IT department for systems administration issues.

REQUIREMENTS:
UNIX (Solaris) and LINUX system administration Operating system installation and configuration jump-start, disc partition set-up, patch administration Security implementations, such as IP Filter and and Firewall administration, RAID and volume manager technologies Account and user administration DNS and name services configuration and support System performance management, memory utilization, Installation, configuration, and support of sendmail, POP3, FTP, DNS/named Programming and scripting in Slackware, shell scripting, regular expressions. Familiarity with database technologies Apache/tomcat installation Data networking (TDM, SONET, private line/DSx, Frame Relay, ATM) IP networking (QoS techniques, routing protocols, security, Cisco IOS, DNS, POP3) SNMP VOIP protocols and standards (SIP, MGCP, RTP, RTCP, SDP, ISDN to SIP mapping, etc.)

EXPERIENCE:
Desired technical experience in many aspects of VOIP, such as: Voice codecs VOIP application components and service architectures (application servers, softswitch/routing servers, media servers, session border controllers) Feature delivery in hosted VOIP environment (Class 5, trunking, VOIP CPE, enhanced business features, etc.) NAT traversal for VOIP Cisco Media Gateway configuration PSTN interconnection techniques, protocols, and designs (SIP, PRI, media gateway) PSTN technologies and protocols (SS7, PRI, CNAM, LIDB, AIN, e911, etc.)

VOIP platforms: Broadsoft Application, Network, Media and Web servers Juniper/Kagoor Session Border Controllers.
